SVP Regional Chief Clinical Officer - Anesthesia

The Senior Vice President (SVP) provides executive leadership and operational oversight for Anesthesia clinical operations. This physician leader is accountable for regional oversight of profit, loss and delivery of services, ensuring financial performance, clinical quality, and strategic alignment across assigned contracts. Builds and maintains strong relationships with hospital partners, clinical leaders, and frontline clinicians, fostering collaboration and trust. Partners with Envision teams and hospital clients to drive improvements in healthcare quality and operational efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Clinical Services, Regional and Site Medical Directors, and hospital administrative teams

ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Operational LeadershipOwns and manages P&L, ensuring profitability and financial sustainability within the regionEvaluates and optimizes provider compensation models and staffing coverageLeads the creation and management of regional operating budgets, aligning financial planning with strategic goalsReviews financial performance reports and forecasts trends to inform strategic decisionsParticipates in negotiating hospital contracts, ensuring favorable terms and sustainable margins Strategic Partnerships & Relationship ManagementBuilds strong strategic partnerships with hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare organizationsBuilds and sustains strong, collaborative relationships with hospital executives, Envision leadership, and clinical teamsDevelops and drives client retention strategiesServes as a clinical ambassador for the organization in external forums, conferences, and client engagementsDevelops and drives regional strategic initiatives conducive to a high standard of patient care in support of organizational goalsPartners with hospital clients and internal stakeholders to enhance quality of care and operational performance.Hosts regular meetings with hospital administration and Regional Medical Directors to align on goals and performancePartners with clinical support services teams to develop high standards of patient care; to coordinate work flow between the anesthetizing locations and other ancillary departments; and to assist in the in-service training of department personnel as neededBuilds and maintains strong recruiting relationships, partnering to drive recruiting strategy and as needed assist in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts of clinicians ensuring clinician staffing models align with patient volume and acuity to ensure adequate coverage and productivityBusiness Development & IntegrationIdentifies and partners with the sales team to execute on opportunities for service line growth, geographic expansion, and/or new partnerships assessing feasibility and alignment with clinical capabilitiesProvides clinical leadership in the development of RFP responsesPromotes the organizationâs value proposition to potential partners and stakeholdersOversees smooth onboarding and integration of new contracts, including orientation of new Medical Directors and cliniciansReviews and recommends updates to clinical protocols and operational policies affecting the delivery of servicesClinical & Quality OversightSupports Regional Medical Directors in partnership with internal support teams in evaluating and improving clinical quality, compliance, and patient safetyPartners with support teams on documentation, compliance, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations within the regionParticipates in risk management reviews and quality improvement initiatives as neededLeadership & Talent ManagementLeads the growth and development of Regional Medical Directors, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback preparing them for broader leadership rolesFacilitates coaching, communication and alignment through regular meetings and leadership forumsEstablishes clear performance expectations for clinical leadersPromotes physician engagement through transparent communication, recognition, and inclusion in decision-makingSupports the onboarding process for new regional medical directors, ensuring alignment with organizational values and expectationsSupports Regional Medical Directors in managing team dynamics and addressing provider concerns.
