Supplier Quality Specialist (Supplier Quality Systems)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a Senior Supplier Quality Specialist (Level 4) to join our Supplier Quality Northwest & Supplier Performance in the Puget Sound region on Shift 1. This virtual role will require regular travel (3-4 days per week) to visit suppliers in the Puget Sound area of Washington state.Position Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and conduct onsite audits of Boeing procured material, parts, and assembliesApply knowledge of materials, and special processes to assess supplier capability and capacity to perform and comply with Boeing specifications, engineering documents or other contractual and regulatory requirementsStrong understanding of root cause and corrective action analysis and the implementation of acceptable preventative actionProvides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiativesConduct source inspections and delegate product acceptance responsibility to suppliersAssesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future workDevelops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivityRecognize/Identify risks, and hold suppliers accountable for the mitigation of those risksCreate presentations and present to senior management at suppliers and BoeingSupport external conformitiesUse of a personal vehicle, when required for company business, would be reimbursed at mileage rate per applicable company policyExhibit an extremely high level of Emotional IntelligenceProtect the Boeing brand in word and deedBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1+ years of hands on experience with special processes (heat treatment of metals, welding, brazing, chemical processes/finishes and coatings, composite hardware manufacturing processes, metal bonding processes, non-destructive testing) and/or special process auditingCapable of traveling up to 75% of the time within the Northwest region, primarily in the Puget Sound, WA area1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5+ years of experience in conducting/leading QMS AuditsExperience with mixed technologies – Aerospace Quality Systems, Chemical Processes, Composites, Heat Treat, Materials Testing Laboratories, Non-destructive Testing, Surface Enhancement, WeldingExperience with the application of improvement methodologies such as (Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma) to achieve measurable results.Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools5+ years of experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills3+ years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teamsWorking knowledge of various quality tools and processes such as FMEA, control plans, SPC and MSAWorking knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and AS9145Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
