Tactical Opportunities is a lean, strateg ic finance and growth-focused team within the DE Finance organization , reporting directly to the CFO/SVP
of Finance for DTC . This team
operates as a ''special situations'' function focus ed
on driving strategic growth initiatives for Disney+ and Hulu service s in collaboration with stakeholders across Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
The team is seeking a Summer Intern to support financial and subscription-based analys es to inform key decision making across business operating partners . T his role is heavily involved in subscription and
operating income modeling across multiple products, with the opportunity to structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them. The candidate will also be expected to work independently with various partners to deliver thoughtful analys e s across business units.
This role requires the ability to perform a variety of tasks , which at times may have ambiguous answers, under time constraints . A successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to navigate an ever-changing, dynamic environment with a positive attitude and seek opportunities to drive efficient processes and challenge the status quo.
What You Will Do
• Support the subscriber planning team by running subscription and operational income scenario analyses for near term operational and long-term strategic planning
• Assist business operations to glean meaningful insights from in-depth data analysis
• Work thoughtfully through initiatives that drive business value and s ynthesize clear takeaways from complex data sets to inform global strategy
• Provide insight into trends and identify risks and opportunities via in-depth data analysis using various reporting tools and business knowledge in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Effectively communicate and actively work with key stakeholders, operating groups, and finance team members to improve the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives and plans
• • Required Qualifications & Skills
• Strong i nterest in Media and Entertainment
• Experience in MS applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Independent and self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
• Currently a Junior-year undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree – preferably in Business, Economics, Finance
or related fields
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Candidate must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between May to August 2025.
• This internship is a primarily on-site position.
• Must be able to provide own housing and reliable transportation for work in New York City, NY.
The pay rate for this role in New York City, NY is $22 per hour.
