NexaYouth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating young people about the vital connections between environmental sustainability and human health. We focus on empowering youth through accessible education and advocacy initiatives to create a healthier and more sustainable future.
Role Overview:
As a Youth Environmental Intern at NexaYouth, you will play a key role in promoting awareness and action on critical environmental issues. This internship is ideal for high school and undergraduate students passionate about environmental advocacy, public health, and education.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on environmental and health topics to create engaging content for NexaYouths platform.
Assist in planning and executing advocacy campaigns, workshops, and community events.
Develop educational resources that simplify complex environmental topics for youth audiences.
Collaborate on social media strategies to raise awareness and drive engagement.
Support partnership building with schools, organizations, and community groups.
Qualifications:
High school or undergraduate student with a strong interest in environmental issues, public health, advocacy, or education.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team settings.
Experience with social media platforms or content creation is a plus but not required.
Enthusiasm for empowering youth and creating meaningful change.
Time Commitment:
Up to 8-10 hours per week.
Flexible schedule to accommodate students academic commitments.
