The Role: Student Intake Specialist - Online Division As a Student Intake Specialist, you'll play a vital role in guiding college student applications through the admittance process, from the initial inquiry to their first day of class. Your exceptional operational skills will be instrumental in ensuring that applicants qualify for admission and that student records are accurate in our system. This is a remote opportunity that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, provided you reside in or near Maricopa County, AZ. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring Seamless Student Intake Understand and apply the University partner's admission requirements accurately to all student applications and programs of study, ensuring compliance with Department of Education guidelines. Complete all necessary process steps in reviewing applications and following up on transcripts in accordance with the university partner's workflow, policies, and requirements. Review all applications in accordance with applicable deadlines, ensuring timely completion of the admissions process. Conduct quality reviews of documentation to ensure program requirements are met, documents are legible, and files are complete. Request transfer transcripts on behalf of applicants on the same day as application processing, facilitating a smooth transition into our programs. Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate Profile To excel as a Student Intake Specialist, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1-year work experience in a business environment, demonstrating your ability to navigate administrative tasks and office management. The ability to pass a pre-employment background investigation. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong foundation in data entry and administrative tasks. A FERPA understanding or willingness to learn, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Adding an Extra Layer of Expertise While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Relevant, industry-related professional experience, particularly in higher education or a related field. Experience working with CRM tools, which will enhance your ability to manage student applications and interactions effectively.
