About the position

As a Store Loss Prevention Investigator at Sephora, you will play a crucial role in protecting the store's assets against theft while ensuring a positive shopping experience for our clients. The Loss Prevention team is dedicated to evolving and implementing strategies that safeguard our products and enhance our bottom line. You will work closely with the District Loss Prevention Manager and store leadership to develop and execute effective Store Shrink Plans. Your responsibilities will include conducting surveillance on the sales floor, utilizing CCTV systems to identify and deter theft, and adhering to all relevant laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions and evidence preservation. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and accident investigations. You may also be required to testify in court on behalf of the company in criminal or civil cases. To maintain a high level of awareness regarding loss prevention, you will participate in store meetings, new hire training, and ongoing training for Beauty Advisors. Additionally, you may be called upon to provide support across multiple store locations if you are hired in a multi-store area. Investigating internal theft will also be part of your duties, utilizing various resources and collaborating with District Loss Prevention Managers. Responsibilities
• Conduct surveillance on the sales floor and utilize CCTV systems to identify, observe, and apprehend or deter individuals from committing external thefts.

• Adhere to all laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure, and the preservation of evidence.

• Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.

• Testify in court on behalf of the company in any case, criminal or civil, to which you are summoned.

• Heighten and maintain store LP awareness by attending and participating in store meetings, new hire trainings, and continuous Beauty Advisor training.

• Provide support and work in multiple store locations if hired in a multi-store area.

• Investigate internal theft using a variety of resources, including exception-based reporting, in partnership with District Loss Prevention Managers.

Requirements
• Minimum 1-year asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.

• Flexible availability to work during "peak" retail hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Strong communication skills.
,
• Ability to stand/walk the sales floor for entire shift, with or without accommodation.
,
• Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements (as required by state or local jurisdiction).
,
• Adherence to Sephora's dress code and other policies in the Sephora Employee Handbook.
