Hey! I’m Linus. I run Greyfield Data, a US-based data solutions company. I help companies turn messy data into useful, actionable dashboards. Things are growing fast, and I’m looking to bring on a new A-player team member to handle a big chunk of delivery so I can focus again on growing the business instead of delivery. A video (Loom or similar) application will go a long way to helping you stand out and help me to hire you. ----- Business Intelligence Consultant / Data Analyst (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, SQL) You’ll be doing things like: - Analyzing data and coming up with impactful insights for clients; writing SQL queries - Turning client requests into real dashboards - Validating data, building visuals, tweaking designs - Owning end-to-end reporting in tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau Example Project 1: Non-Profit Organization We recently helped a non-profit analyze their donor data by connecting to their CRM, pulling out pledges and gifts, and building a star schema data model and interactive dashboard in Power BI. Example Project 2: Commerical Printing Business We also recently worked with a printing business that had a Tableau dashboard where clients could login and see insights into their spending. But the dashboards weren't intuitive and weren't adding valuable insights. We spent about a month meeting with them, understanding their business, and rebuilding dashboards that drove real revenue. Example Project 3: eCommerce Store An eCommerce store wanted to understand the long-term value of their customers. We built out a cohort analysis that tracked LTV based on gross profit, grouping customers by the month they came in. This let them see how different cohorts performed over time and figure out which acquisition channels were actually bringing in profitable customers. ----- Who are you? - You’re proactive at getting the work done and communicating about it - You’re sharp, independent, and can figure things out on your own (and I’m here for support too of course!) - You're passionate about learning how businesses work and how they can use data to make better decisions - Fluent English speaker - Bonus if you are able to be client facing (great at communicating directly with clients) ----- Details - Starting with ~10 hours / week - Monday to Friday - need 6-8 hours overlap with 9am to 6pm EST - Preferably in Canada or the US, but open to anyone who’s fluent in English and time zone friendly - Mostly async work, with 1 to 3 quick check-ins per week ----- Pay - $40 to $75 USD per hour depending on your experience - Open to agreeing to weekly/monthly retainer, so you know you’ve got a baseline every week - ^Everything is a conversation.
