We're tackling complex challenges in rewards distribution across multiple jurisdictions while building robust automation systems to support our growing partner network.About the role As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll serve as the technical leader for our Rewards vertical, architecting and implementing solutions that will transform how we deliver rewards across different jurisdictions and custody models. This is a strategic role where you'll not only drive technical excellence but also help shape the team's vision and unlock new business opportunities. You'll be instrumental in consolidating multiple reward services into a unified platform and building scalable solutions for partner onboarding and automation.What you’ll do Lead the technical architecture and implementation of our unified Rewards platform, ensuring scalability across multiple jurisdictionsDesign and implement automation systems to support onboarding 100+ GDN partners efficientlyArchitect solutions for self-custodial wallets rewards calculations and distributionMentor and provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of engineering excellenceDrive technical decision-making and best practices across the team, including system design, code quality, and testing strategiesCollaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into technical solutionsIdentify and proactively address technical debt while maintaining system reliability and performanceAbout you8+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems in high-growth technology companiesProven track record of leading complex technical initiatives from conception to deliveryDeep expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, high-performance systemsStrong experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologiesExperience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across teamsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across the organizationTrack record of building automation systems and improving operational efficiencyDemonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you workBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceImportant Notice for Paxos ApplicantsWe’ve become aware of fraudulent accounts posting as Paxos recruiters on LinkedIn and other platforms.
