With expertise in systems, interaction, and prototyping, you excel at simplifying complex problems into user-friendly and scalable solutions. You have a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and even driving work across a team of designers, writers, and researchers. From conceptualization to implementation, you can effectively collaborate with a wide set of cross-functional partners. You proactively stay updated on emerging technologies, such as generative AI, to drive innovation.
This role is a Staff Experience Designer and operates as an individual contributor (IC), reporting to a Senior Manager of Experience Design.
A Typical Day:
Drive a compelling vision and strategy for a complex domain area. Effectively persuade a wide audience of cross-functional stakeholders through well-crafted visual storytelling.
Lead multiple initiatives from inception to launch, including overseeing the quality of other designers work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Deliver high-quality designs and prototypes that balance user needs with business objectives and technical requirements.
Actively contribute to our design language system, including conversational design patterns.
Your Expertise:
10+ years of hands-on product design experience, and 2+ years experience leading projects and/or initiatives.
Domain experience designing for complex domain areas, such as multi-sided marketplaces. Past experience with messaging is appreciated, but not required.
Proficiency across UX thinking and systems design, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
Track record of designing and shipping high-quality products and user experiences across multiple platforms (e.g. Web, Mobile Web, Android, iOS) for complex domain areas.
Effectiveness in working collaboratively on platform teams.
Excellent communication skills, especially communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and levels of the organization.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at off-sites, as agreed to with your manager. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
