Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Staff Engineer with a strong background in software development, distributed systems, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend systems, open-source software, and large-scale system operations. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in driving our technical roadmap, leading the strategy and execution of critical projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Write and test product or system development code, participate in design reviews, and contribute to existing documentation or educational content.
Technical Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap, drive the adoption of new technologies, and ensure the stability, scalability, security, and performance of our Distributed Caching Service.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems, provide feedback, and ensure best practices.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve problems by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge and expertise, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.


Essential Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (C++ or Go preferred, C#/Java are ok), and with data structures/algorithms.
Technical Skills: Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.


Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Experience: Experience with Redis, Valkey, or other distributed caching technologies, as well as experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud computing, distributed systems, or software engineering are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
