The Role

We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. With a focus on Accounts Payable, General Ledger, NetSuite reporting, and month-end close responsibilities, this position is designed for an individual who has a broad understanding of the business and its accounting function. The Staff Accountant should have a strong foundation in accounting and finance, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a self-starter.

What you’ll do:

Support the monthly close process in NetSuite, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP

Prepare and analyze NetSuite reports to support month-end close, management reporting, and ad-hoc analysis

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor management

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts

Support inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations and variance analysis

Assist with sales tax setup, monitoring, and reporting across multiple states

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and tax filings

Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations and Merchandising to support accounting needs

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies within NetSuite

Document accounting procedures and support internal controls

Assist with ad-hoc projects and reporting as needed

What you’ll bring to the team:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience; CPA a plus

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles

Hands-on experience using NetSuite for general ledger management, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close

Experience with journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation

Strong understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes within an ERP environment

Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting, including reconciliations

Ability to prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations independently

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and working with large data sets

Experience exporting, analyzing, and validating data from NetSuite

Exposure to internal controls, audit support, and process documentation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally

Apparel or ecommerce industry experience a plus

Experience with Netsuite, Shopify, Ramp and other integrated systems a plus
