Amazon is looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Single Threaded Leader to lead the Global Direct Imports for footprint countries. As a Sr. Manager, Product Management – Tech, you will be driving the Thought Leadership and Vision to build foundational technology that solves for Cross-border B2B imports and lead a team of Senior Managers, MVMs and Instock Leaders to launch and scale Direct Imports program globally. You will work with Country Leaders, SCOT, Global trade services and logistics stakeholders around the world to manage the full product lifecycle of launching the Direct Imports program capabilities and features for DI vendors and sellers to our Country Stores. You will be leading a team of 8 Managers and developing a high performing team of 70+ employees, driving growth by developing multi-year strategies, sustaining strategic relationships, managing vendor relationships, and reacting to industry trends. This position will be part of the Global Purchasing Program team which own global B2B imports to country stores. We are seeking a General Manager with proven experience in strategy, execution, negotiation, and team development that thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about international business, a self-starter with demonstrated career progression as a People Leader, a proven track record of taking ownership, delivering results, and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with technology to develop automated solutions for complex international problems. We are looking for a Biz-Product-Tech leader who has the ability to define the vision, communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across business, UX, and engineering, and lead a team of Product and Business leaders to deliver on the vision. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving cross-border/ cross-regional problems. You will tackle novel, challenging situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple product and technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You will travel internationally approximately 10% - 20% of your time. Key job responsibilities In this role, your key responsibilities will be: • Identifying international challenges for all aspects of Amazon's B2B Imports businesses • Own the product and tech roadmap to improve Direct Imports Program experience and capabilities, and lead a team of Product leaders and UX designers to deliver on the roadmap • Think big and provides recommendations on business opportunities and long-term strategy for multiple categories • Works with internal technical, cross-category, cross- country and tech teams to drive multi-system process changes • Dives deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for multiple categories • Owns import metrics for multiple categories and countries; develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvement for the business • Working with stakeholders partners to provide compliant solutions • Mining and analyzing data for metrics and decision support • Driving results by exercising judgment using available information
• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
• Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
