Sr. Technical Writer - Security / NIST
About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop and refine technical documentation related to IT Security and compliance frameworks.
• Interpret existing IT Security policies and rewrite them to align with the NIST CSF framework.
• Identify business controls in current policies that may not be referenced by NIST and work with stakeholders to incorporate them into new policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive policy development and compliance with security standards.
• Utilize strong technical writing skills to produce clear and concise documentation.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Technical Writer in IT Security Operations.
• Expertise in compliance frameworks, specifically NIST CSF.
• Knowledge and understanding of IT Security policies, security controls, and privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR).
• Experience in interpreting and rewriting IT Security policies to align with NIST CSF.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
