What We're Looking For
We seek a mid-career software development engineer with 6+ years of experience in test automation and quality engineering, ready to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will combine solid development practices with proven testing techniques and technologies to drive test automation solutions across our platform.
Responsibilities
• Design, execute, and maintain automation test suites for API, web, and mobile applications.
• Ensure overall system quality through rigorous testing and analysis, diagnosing reported bugs.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and recommend improvements to testing tools and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure high-quality product releases.
• Review system requirements and technical design documents to ensure new features are developed with automation in mind.
• Lead quality engineering team members on best practices, building automation frameworks, and evaluating existing test scripts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, processes, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in testing practices.
• Perform manual testing as necessary and contribute to the development of testing strategies and plans.
• Support the integration of third-party tools and services and conduct cross-browser compatibility testing.
Skills You'll Need
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Cypress, Pytest, Appium) against enterprise-level systems.
• Strong software development skills and foundation on best practices and methodologies (architecture, unit testing, mocking, algorithms, etc.)
• Experience executing software development lifecycles for planning, development, testing, and defect management.
• Solid knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies, including functional, performance, regression, black-box, and white-box testing.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) and managing git branching and merge request workflows.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like MySQL.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record working in cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with DevOps practices (containerization, pipelines) and third-party integrations (Workato).
• Cross-browser compatibility testing, mobile app device matrix coverage and testing
Benefits:
• Fully Remote with optional quarterly meetups in Denver, Colorado
• Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000
