Employment Category: Full-Time/Regular Location: Remote Travel: Some domestic and international travel may be required Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust at hire Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder Salary: $130,000-$165,000 - Commensurate with experience Job Description: ● The candidate will be responsible for tracking, assessing, and reporting any RF spectrum regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA) ● Provide subject matter expertise to DOC/NOAA across various RF spectrum related topics and working groups ● Participate and establish technical rules and procedures for spectrum sharing & spectrum coordination with federal agencies and international administrations ● Assist regulatory and policy team in evaluating and conducting analysis on new rulemaking procedures and submissions ● Conduct analysis pertaining to ITU WRC agenda items ● Establish technical parameters and standards governing the use of each frequency band or specific service, if applicable Benefits: Paid Time Off Starting at 80 hrs/yr, 11 Federal holidays, and 40 hrs/yr Sick Leave 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Short Term/Long Term Disability Flexible spending account Health savings account Tuition reimbursement In-depth knowledge of FCC rules, procedures, and rule-making processes Knowledge of ITU-R Recommendations and Reports Experience in coordination with Federal Agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA) Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis Ability to use RF engineering tools (e.g., Visualyse) and MATLAB Possess excellent written & communications skills in English Essential Requirements: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in satellite & cellular telecommunications’ industry. 10+ years of experience in RF spectrum engineering US Citizen or Green card holder Primary work environment is remote; however, domestic and/or international travel may be required.
