The organization is responsible for Helios, HashiCorpâs design system, our accessibility program, the long-term reliability and stability of our UIs, and more. The organization acts as a center of excellence to support the front-end engineers and designers across all of HashiCorp R&D.About the roleAs a member of Front-end Experienceâs Enablement team, you will provide support and enablement for delivering complex, cross-product UI features across HashiCorpâs portfolio of products. Youâll work closely with engineers and designers across the company to leverage your experience and expertise in building accessible, delightful, and maintainable UIs.What youâll do (responsibilities):Collaborate with product designers and engineers to support the delivery of new features or major refactors in our UIsServe as a trusted specialist in your field, whether itâs UI engineering, accessibility, or another specialty, for our partner teamsIdentify and act on opportunities to leave our product UIs better than you found themRegularly adapt to new products and areas of focus as priorities shift and new initiatives emergeSupport effective project handoff through written communication and documentationWhat youâll need (basic qualifications):Have production experience working on an application using a JavaScript framework (e.g. Ember.js, React), building responsive layouts with CSS and HTMLStrong collaboration and communication skills and an ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of cross-functional partnersStrive for quality through maintainable code and comprehensive testing from development to deploymentBe familiar with web accessibility standards and inclusive design principlesCommunicate clearly while remaining empathetic and kindHave an eagerness to learn through humility and reflectionWhat is our hiring process like?The below serves as a basic outline; we may choose to add or remove steps based on the information that we gather during the process.Introductory Call with someone from our recruiting teamFirst interview with the Hiring ManagerInterview Loop with additional team members that touch on the following:Code Review ExerciseDesign and CollaborationPair Programming ExerciseCommunication & CollaborationAlthough we use Ember.js at HashiCorp, our interviews are available in Ember or React. The use of AI during interviews is prohibited.Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$176,000â$207,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in California (excluding SF Bay Area), New York (excluding NYC), Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, Washington D.C., or Maryland is:$161,300â$189,800 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro), Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$146,600â$172,500 USDâHashiCorp is an IBM subsidiary which has been acquired by IBM and will be integrated into the IBM organization.
