MySQL DBA

Key Responsibilities • Administer, maintain, and optimize MySQL databases in production and non-production environments. • Provide 24x7 support for critical systems during US business hours, including participation in on-call rotations. • Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Terraform. • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database reliability and scalability. • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security and backup standards. • Work closely with cloud teams to manage deployments on Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Contribute to incident response processes to meet SLAs and minimize downtime. • Stay informed on AI/ML trends and explore opportunities to integrate intelligent solutions into database operations. Required Skills & Qualifications • Core MySQL DBA expertise: installation, configuration, performance tuning, replication, backup/restore. • Strong knowledge of Python scripting for automation and operational tasks. • Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC). • Familiarity with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Awareness of AI/ML concepts and their application in database operations. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in high-availability architectures and disaster recovery planning. • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of monitoring tools and observability frameworks.
