General Summary: The Sr. Director of Technical Sales is responsible for leading a global team of experienced professionals focused on driving the company towards its strategic and financial goals by providing technical knowledge and resources to the organization and its partners. This role supports the Sales team by ensuring world class technical expertise to all areas of the business and for products of the ConnectWise business suite. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results• Typically manages multiple teams that are led by experienced managers• Influences others to accept practices and approaches• Interacts with executive leadership and others concerning matters of significance to ConnectWise• Owns short to mid-term strategy execution and operational direction of the Technical Sales team in alignment with the ConnectWise objectives• Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team• Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team• Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency• Leads a team of Sales Engineers who serve as the primary technical resources for revenue to provide product introduction, trial, and education expertise• Directs resources dedicated to the creation and delivery of customized demonstrations for all products and services• Ensures the continuous professional development of the Sales Engineering team so that all members are trained on the latest versions and features of all products and solutions relevant to their areas of expertise• Develops key leadership relationships with all areas of the business to ensure positive collaboration with the Sales Engineering team• Adjusts team strategy as needed and accurately reports to leadership• Manages and oversees all assets, resources, and staff required for the successful delivery of initiatives and programs to maintain good customer and prospect engagement• Oversees the sales processes and utilization, engaging in continuous improvement where necessary to ensure effectiveness and efficiency• Develops, revises, and implements business controls, policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize strategic performance and comply with internal business operations requirements• Engages in ongoing trainings and certifications to remain up-to-date on ConnectWise products and services Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
