About the Role:
At Fetch, we’re building the most rewarding way to shop. As we continue to scale, our People systems must scale with us. We are seeking a Sr. Director of HR Operations & Transformation to architect and optimize the full employee lifecycle. This is not a maintenance role. This is a builder role.

You will treat HR like a high-performance engine, re-engineering everything from onboarding to exit to ensure every touchpoint is seamless, automated, compliant, and built for scale. You will eliminate friction, modernize systems, and create operational clarity that enables our teams to move faster.

This role requires both strategic systems thinking and deep operational rigor. You will partner cross-functionally with People leadership, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to ensure our HR foundation supports long-term growth and organizational excellence.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US offices or remotely in the United States.

Role Responsibilities:

Architect the End-to-End Employee Journey
• Conduct a full audit and redesign of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, benefits, performance cycles, mobility, and offboarding
• Eliminate administrative debt and streamline frontline HR operations
• Standardize processes to ensure consistency, speed, and high-quality service delivery across the organization
• Design employee-first workflows that feel intuitive, modern, and frictionless

Lead Systems, Automation & Data Strategy
• Own the roadmap and optimization of our HRIS and integrated People systems, ensuring they serve as the single source of truth
• Identify manual and repetitive tasks and replace them with automated, scalable workflows
• Drive technology adoption and ensure tools are fully utilized across the organization
• Establish strong data governance practices to ensure accurate, compliant, real-time People analytics

Strengthen Compliance & Operational Integrity
• Ensure all operational workflows meet local, state, and federal labor requirements while preserving business agility
• Modernize and maintain the Employee Handbook and SOPs to ensure clarity, legal soundness, and cultural alignment
• Build documentation, controls, and audit-ready processes across People Operations

Lead Transformation & Vendor Strategy
• Guide the organization through system and process transformations with clear communication and high-touch change management
• Manage relationships with brokers, payroll providers, and HR technology partners to ensure strong ROI and service levels
• Partner cross-functionally to embed new processes and drive sustainable adoption

Minimum Requirements:
• 8+ years of progressive HR Operations experience
• Demonstrated experience leading HRIS implementations or large-scale HR digital transformation initiatives
• Strong knowledge of labor law compliance and operational risk management
• Proven ability to redesign and scale People processes in high-growth or complex environments
• Experience building and maintaining HR systems as a reliable single source of truth
• Track record of using data and metrics to measure process improvements and operational impact
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in high-growth, tech-enabled, or multi-state environments
• Deep expertise in workflow automation and process optimization methodologies
• Experience managing payroll and benefits vendors at scale
• Background in building data governance frameworks for People analytics
• Demonstrated success leading organizational change initiatives
• Builder mindset with a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution
