Role Snapshot: Position: Sr Data Analyst - Millennial Specialty Insurance Compensation: Competitive salary Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote Company: Workwarp (Millennial Specialty Insurance) Position Summary: The Sr Data Analyst will be responsible for performing analysis, reporting, and visualization to support decisions within different areas of the firm. The ideal candidate will have the curiosity and skills to investigate data from multiple angles, conduct research, and identify trends while partnering with colleagues to match data from multiple resources to make recommendations. Key Responsibilities: Business Intelligence Solutions: Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization, including dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. Data Analysis: Collect, audit, compile, and validate data from multiple sources, and interpret data to analyze results using statistical techniques or relational databases. Reporting Strategy: Help drive reporting strategy and insights that support business decisions and objectives. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to collect and structure data, and communicate internally and externally to collect and validate data and answer questions regarding reports and data. Power BI Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on the Power BI application and mentor less experienced colleagues. Data Lake and Data Warehouse: Support the design, testing, and implementation of our Data Lake, Datawarehouse, and Datamarts. Innovation: Recommends new practices, processes, and procedures, and provides solutions that may set a precedent or have a significant impact. Automation: Build automation and additional efficiencies into manual reporting efforts. Ad-hoc Reporting: Support the broader business team from the standpoint of ad-hoc reporting requests, complex queries, and evaluating the business. Requirements: Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, equivalent years' experience considered. Experience: At least five to seven years of data-related or analytical work experience. Power BI: Advanced Power BI skills including data ingestion/datasets, DAX, Power Query, Dashboards, Paginated Reports, Power Map, Power View strongly preferred. SQL: Intermediate to advanced SQL / T-SQL experience. Insurance Industry: Insurance industry experience preferred. Power Automate: Experience with Power Automate is a plus. Data Analysis: Ability to grasp database structures and understand the underlying relationships and dependencies. Data Quality: Comfortable compiling data integration from multiple sources; performing quality control on data sets; identifying and scrutinizing anomalies and/or outliers in the data; ability to manipulate data and complete required analysis.
