Design Phase Cost Management: Lead the development and maintenance of the Basis of Design (BoD) cost models, ensuring alignment with program requirements and design intent.
Programmatic Change Analysis: Evaluate and quantify cost impacts resulting from programmatic changes during the design and construction phases, collaborating closely with Pre-Construction and Construction teams to integrate changes effectively.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Design, Procurement, Construction, and Finance teams to ensure cost considerations are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Reporting: Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to senior leadership, facilitating informed decision-making.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process enhancements, contributing to the development of best practices and standards within the cost engineering function.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost control, with specific knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or architectural cost elements.
At least 2 years of experience in data center or other mission-critical construction environments (Semiconductors, Oil & Gas).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in cost estimating software such as Procore, RSMeans Data Online, ConWize, STACK, and ProEst.
Experience reviewing and justifying budgets, with a strong understanding of cost estimation strategies.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex cost information effectively to both construction and non-construction professionals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Experience working with remote teams and managing multiple stakeholders across various disciplines.
