Sr. Accountant International Accounting

Role Description The Opportunity: Perform monthly accounting close activities, including intercompany journal entries, account reconciliations of intercompany related balance sheet accounts, and analysis of foreign exchange gains and losses Improve and manage international accounting process Review all intercompany agreements contracts and work closely with Corporate Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and IT Partner with EMEA statutory accounting firms to produce financial statements Support external audits in EMEA Support International Accounting Manager in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 4+ years professional experience, with at least 2 years of relevant month-end close experience Public accounting experience combined with commercial real estate or hospitality industry (International) experience preferred Experience supporting an audit of a publicly held company Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS specifically lease accounting and foreign currency transactions and translations Experience in a dynamic, global environment a plus Previous experience working in a large ERP (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) environment Advanced Excel knowledge Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask Strong business acumen, analytical skills, detailed-oriented Strong interpersonal and communication skills Benefits Attractive employee travel perks for any Sonder location Competitive compensation Medical, dental and vision insurance (where applicable) Flexible vacation Wellness and volunteering days Annual free credits and discounts to stay in Sonders Workplace flexibility (for remote-specified positions only) Equal Opportunity We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
