Key Responsibilities
Ā Deliver personalized online instruction to students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
Ā Develop and implement virtual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and tailored learning plans.
Ā Collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Ā Leverage assistive technology to enhance the learning experience and ensure accessibility for all students.
Ā Regularly monitor, assess, and report on student progress within the virtual classroom, making adjustments as needed to support student success.
Qualifications
Ā Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred).
Ā Valid West Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
Ā Previous experience in online or distance education is highly desirable.
Ā Strong digital literacy skills, with proficiency in using educational technology tools.
Ā Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and colleagues.
