Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position involves working with PreK-5th grade students in a resource room setting, providing targeted support through pullout sessions. The role includes a full-day schedule with designated preparation times and a modified half-day schedule every Wednesday for planning and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a resource room setting.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and objectives.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
Participate in weekly planning and preparation sessions every Wednesday.
Requirements:
Valid Texas Special Education Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
Experience working with PreK-5th grade students in a special education setting is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A passion for supporting students with special needs and fostering their academic and social growth.
Schedule:
Full-day schedule with prep times included.
Half-day schedule every Wednesday for teaching planning and preparation.
