Job Summary As a Special Education Paraeducator at Workwarp, you will work closely with our Special Education Teachers and Director to provide instructional support to students with IEPs in an online classroom setting. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting students with academic tasks, collecting data on student progress, and implementing behavioral interventions. You will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times, as well as participating in required meetings and training sessions. Key Responsibilities Instructional Support: Provide instructional support to students with IEPs, including following scripted lesson plans, delivering curriculum through online resources, and providing direction and guidance as needed. Data Collection: Collect data on student progress towards IEP goals, including administering probes and tests, tracking and inputting data daily, and ensuring sufficient data for each IEP goal. Academic Support: Assist students in achieving academic success, including providing behavior support, social integration, and consultation and collaboration with Special Education and Regular Education Teachers, as well as related service staff. Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, including handling sensitive student information with care and discretion. Additional Duties: Participate in required meetings and training sessions, and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or Special Education Director. Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience Education: Two years of higher education and/or Associate's Degree. Certification: Pass or willingness to pass the PRAXIS exam with a qualifying score within one month of being hired. Skills and Competencies Technology Skills: Strong technology skills, including proficiency in online educational platforms and tools. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to respond effectively to the needs of diverse students and families. Flexibility and Adaptability: High degree of flexibility with an aggressive growth mindset, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities and needs. Customer Focus: Customer-focused approach, including a commitment to providing high-quality services and support to students and families.
