You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. About the role: Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician, familiar with regulations of the industry, and supports environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the center. How you will contribute • You will determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, medical history, physical exams, blood testing, and reviewing SPE. • You will evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for emergencies, including transport to emergency care if needed. • You will refer medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs. • You will support vaccination programs for employees as applicable. • You will manage employee incidents and refer to occupational health/ER as needed. • You can serve as a Pandemic Coordinator and support investigations related to pandemic threats.What you bring to Takeda: • High school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized nursing program with state requirements. • Licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic in the state of responsibility. • Current CPR and AED certification. • Fulfill state requirements for IV therapy. • Satisfy FDA-approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist. • Two years of clinical or hospital experience. Compensation and Benefits: Location: USA - TX - Houston - FM Hourly Wage Range: $23.85 - $32.79, based on experience and qualifications.
