**Job Description:**
As an Onboard Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers. Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing the cabin, demonstrating safety procedures, serving refreshments, and addressing in-flight passenger needs. **Responsibilities:**
– Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers aboard flights.
– Conduct pre-flight checks of emergency equipment.
– Demonstrate emergency and safety procedures such as the use of seat belts, oxygen masks, and exit operations in the event of an emergency.
– Serve drinks and snacks, and sell onboard merchandise.
– Provide special attention to passengers with special needs, including children, elderly, or disabled individuals.
– Manage in-flight emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
– Collaborate with pilots and ground crew to communicate and manage standard operating procedures.
– Maintain a clean and tidy cabin environment throughout the flight.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 20 years.
– High school diploma or equivalent; further education is advantageous.
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
– Fluency in English; proficiency in another language is a plus.
– Capability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for long periods.
– Must pass a background check and drug screen.
– Compliance with FAA and Southwest Airlines’ regulations regarding appearance and attire.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High School Diploma or GED required.
– Further certifications in hospitality, safety, or related fields preferred.
