**Job Description:**
As a Flight Attendant with Southwest Airlines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include briefing passengers on safety procedures, serving refreshments, and attending to passenger needs throughout the flight.
**Responsibilities:**
– Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers
– Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures
– Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and attending to passengers’ needs
– Serve beverages, snacks, and meals as needed
– Manage onboard sales of food, beverages, and duty-free items
– Assist passengers in stowing carry-on luggage
– Handle minor in-flight emergencies and provide first aid as needed
– Participate in pre-flight briefings and debriefings
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years
– High school diploma or GED equivalent
– Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
– Additional languages are a plus
– Must be able to reach overhead storage bins and stand for extended periods
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
– Must pass a background check and drug test
– Height must be between 5’2” and 6’1” without shoes
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Further certifications in Hospitality, Communication, or related fields preferred but not mandatory
**Experience:**
– Previous customer service experience preferred
– Experience in a high-stress or emergency role is advantageous
