Position Overview
As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you'll perform ultrasound exams that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. You'll operate under the guidance of the supervising radiologist and collaborate with a team of experienced technologists, nurses, and support staff. This role requires both technical proficiency and compassionate patient interaction in a variety of clinical situations.
What You'll Do
? Perform diagnostic sonographic procedures in accordance with department protocols and industry standards
? Operate ultrasound equipment, maintain image quality, and adjust technical parameters as needed
? Document and present findings to interpreting physicians in a timely and professional manner
? Manage patient flow and maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy during the night shift
? Collaborate with on-call physicians, technologists, and nurses in an acute care setting
? Participate in rotating on-call coverage with the team
What You Bring
? Certificate or Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
? Active ARDMS registry or ARRT (S) certification
? BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required within 30 days of hire
? Registered Vascular credential (RVS, RVT, or Vascular Sonography) must be obtained within 12 months of hire
? 3?6 months of sonography experience (acute care experience not required)
? Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and strong initiative'a self-starter with a heart for care
Compensation & Incentives
? Hourly Range:
? Entry-level: $32/hr
? Mid-point (5+ years): $35/hr
? Max (10+ years): Up to $40/hr
? $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
? Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis
? On-Call Pay: Discussed during interview
? Shift Differentials: To be confirmed by facility
