Solution Advisor; Micro/Gen Lab
Position: Solution Advisor (Micro/Gen Lab) Job Summary Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Solution providing Cerner expertise, support, and knowledge transfer sessions to the National/VISN Councils/local workshops, and VA solution experts. Support translation of Cerner capabilities and nomenclature to enable VA understanding in partnership with the Solution Expert. Bring the VA-assigned solution experts up to speed in their respective areas with solution knowledge. Review and help the Solution Management Administrators (SMA) with the task orders and deliverables, and ensure they are received on time and are completed accurately per program office requirements. Provide support to the SMAs and members by assisting in the current state workflow/requirements analysis. Assist in the review of DoD lessons learned and help incorporate findings into VA workflows. Attend Cerner workshops and assist/support VA staff attending the event. Assist in future state workflow design and diagrams. Identify potential risks and pain points in the workflows. Assist with management, escalation, and resolution of trouble tickets and change requests. Assist in reporting requirements/mapping/identification. Assist in the development of EHRM testing scripts and support all EHRM testing types and EHRM testing events. Review and assist in managing issues and risks with mitigation plans. Work with Cerner and VA in build/design/workflow changes. Assist in the review of training manuals and job aids delivered by Cerner. Assist and support in designing cutover/go-live planning and post go-live support. Provide solution knowledge expertise on Oracle General Laboratory and Microbiology. Minimum qualifications • 5+ years of professional work experience • Can work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment • Analysis and development of Current/Future State workflows required • Experience managing functional validation and end‑user testing for Cerner (or other EHR) and integrated third‑party solutions • Able to identify and mitigate risks • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects for management • Experience supporting the identification of root causes, courses of action, and potential solutions to support any major incident or response efforts • Experience leveraging Service Now’s out‑of‑the‑box features to customize reports and solutions for clients. Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to evaluate and elevate tickets • Strong leadership, written/oral communications, analysis, data gathering, and organization skills • Experience facilitating reviews, evaluating scenarios for stakeholder impact, and collaborating with Solution Experts to provide recommendations for optimization and effective change • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an additional 8 years of relative experience may be substituted for education Additional qualifications • Experience in the VA • Preferred Millennium experience on code levels 2018 or higher • Preferred understanding of Cerner Model recommendations Benefits • Retirement Plan • Group Health Insurance(Health, Dental, and Vision) • Paid Time Off • Referral Bonus • Opportunity for Performance Evaluation/Retention Bonus Compensation • Full‑Time Direct Hire • Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 Authority and Remote Must be authorized to work in the US 100% Remote #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply tot his job
