If you crave an opportunity to meaningfully improve the lives of those in need, come join the charge!As a Solar Water Farm Assembly Worker, you will be instrumental in helping GivePower accomplish ambitious goals by building GivePower’s Solar Water Farm products in our warehouse in Austin. You will have the opportunity to work on the manufacturing and assembly of projects that will be deployed around the globe. Your role will be responsible for adhering to the production timeline for GivePower’s Solar Water Farms, maintaining a high build quality standard, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Read and understand engineering drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and electrical instructionsRead and follow SOP’s and OEM equipment manuals to adhere to best installation practicesInstall, inspect, commission and troubleshoot electrical and plumbing systems in GivePower’s Solar Water FarmsProvide complete and thorough documentation during assembly and upon completion of each project including inspection, calibration, commissioning and Final Acceptance TestingWork closely with the remote engineering team to provide updates and contribute to continual improvement effortsSafely and effectively operate light to medium equipment including hand tools, power tools, forklift, scissor lift, and other lifting equipmentMaintain high levels of workmanship and installation qualityClosely monitor and document inventory stock takes in real timeUnderstand and properly use all issued PPEPerform additional duties and tasks as assigned to support overall team success and operational objectives Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 3+ years in assembly manufacturingStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and take initiativeStrong focus on providing timely solutions and deliverablesExperience reading blueprints and electrical schematicsBasic understanding and experience with electrical (AC/DC), plumbing, and control systemsExperience using ERP systems, Procore, and inventory management software a plusExperience working with Solar batteries, welding and/or plasma cuttersInnovative, creative, “outside-the-box” thinkingThrives in dynamic environment, natural problem solverMaintains a positive can-do attitude with growth mindsetWillingness to roll up your sleeves and make things happenExperience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen a plusAble to lift up to 50lbsHigh school diploma required Additional Information Compensation:$20 - $23/HourAdditional Information Regarding Job Duties and Job Descriptions:Job duties include additional responsibilities as assigned by one's supervisor or other managers related to the position/department.
