Duties and Responsibilities: • A Software Tester is responsible for ensuring software quality by designing and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to • enhance user experience. • Test Design and Execution: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software functionality and performance meet specifications. • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, providing detailed feedback to developers for resolution. • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the software meets user needs. • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on testing outcomes, including defect metrics and test coverage, to inform project stakeholders of software quality. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies, and contribute to process improvements within the testing lifecycle. Qualifications Education and Years of Experience: • Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is often preferred, especially in roles involving manual and automated testing.A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required. • Previous experience in software testing or quality assurance is often preferred, especially in roles involving manual and automated testing. Technical Skills: Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) can be beneficial. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
