Software Tester

A Software Tester for a Power Platform development environment (encompassing Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse) is responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of solutions built within this ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: • Test Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, Power BI reports and dashboards, and Dataverse configurations. • Test Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for Power Platform solutions.This includes testing user interfaces, data integrations, business logic, and security configurations. • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects and issues, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution. • Power Apps Specific Testing: Validate the functionality and user experience of both canvas and model-driven apps, including form design, data entry, navigation, and integration with Dataverse and other data sources. • Power Automate Specific Testing: Verify the accuracy and efficiency of automated workflows, ensuring correct triggers, actions, and data transformations.• Power BI Specific Testing: Review Power BI reports and dashboards for data accuracy, visualization effectiveness, performance, and adherence to business requirements. • Dataverse Testing: Ensure the integrity, security, and functionality of Dataverse tables, relationships, and business rules. • Documentation: Create and maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test cases, defect reports, and test summaries. • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to understand requirements, provide feedback, and facilitate effective testing.• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools within the Power Platform development lifecycle. Required Skills andQualifications: • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing. • Strong understanding of the bolthires Power Platform, including Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. • Experience with manual and potentially automated testing tools and techniques. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
