Software Quality Assurance Analyst & Tester

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: up to $90k annually (depending on experience)
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).
*On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
Analyze, document, troubleshoot, and test web sites and/or transactional applications.
Develop comprehensive test strategies and write test cases that will thoroughly evaluate and test functionality, regression, performance, usability and security of web applications.
Identify and document bugs or errors and provide detailed feedback to the development team.
Implement both manual and automated testing methods.
Assist with collecting and documenting system processes and business rules to ensure test cases align with business requirements.
Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements.
Support 508 compliance testing.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Experience conducting quality assurance and software testing for IT web applications required.
Experience providing requirements gathering/analysis for IT applications required.
Manual and automated testing experience required.
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
