Software Engineering Advisor
The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role within Cigna-Evernorth Health Services, Inc.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a subject matter expert using software engineering to perform data analysis.
• Understand the interrelationships between systems and write working software that will successfully integrate and interface these systems.
• From a system and design perspective, understand how different pieces work together and use library calls, REST APIs, database queries, etc. to communicate with them.
• Play a technical role in driving innovative analytical methods to better align IT analytics with the organization’s short-term and long-term goals, adding value by adopting software engineering best practices.
• Support various Cigna organizations with hands-on architecture and design skills. Partial virtual/work from home benefit available.
Requirements:
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field and 2 years of IT experience.
• Must have experience with: agile methodology; developing and integrating microservices architecture; MongoDB queries using Robo 3T; authoring source code; preparing test data; testing and debugging programs; revising and refining programs to optimize performance; Maven; JUnit; Java; Spring Boot; Splunk; Dynatrace; SQL; Spring Boot; Git; Oracle; designing and developing web services using tools such as SOAP, REST, and Tomcat; and continuous integration practices using Jenkins.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
