We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge tools that redefine how artworks and cultural artifacts are documented, visualized, and shared worldwide. WHERENESS - 360° Spatial Catalog WHERENESS: Share Your Spaces - Radiance Fields Role & Responsibilities As a Software Engineer at WHERENESS, you will: • Develop and optimize WHERENESS’s digital collection platform, ensuring seamless integration of 3D visualization, AI-driven metadata tagging, and cloud-based archival solutions. • Build a scalable and user-friendly web & mobile application that allows curators, collectors, and conservators to digitize and manage their collections effortlessly. • Implement AI and machine learning features for artwork recognition, metadata extraction, and personalized digital experiences. • Work with 3D graphics and visualization technologies, optimizing rendering and asset management for high-performance user experiences. • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, museum professionals, and researchers to ensure the platform meets the needs of art institutions and collectors. • Ensure data security and integrity, particularly in handling high-value digital art assets, provenance data, and archival materials. • Stay up to date with emerging technologies in AI, 3D visualization, and cloud computing to continuously improve our products. List of Skills Front-End Development • Experience developing web applications using React. • Proficiency in TypeScript for robust and scalable front-end development. • Experience with three.js and/or WebXR for immersive 3D visualization. Back-End Development • Strong experience in AWS infrastructure construction and operation. • Proficiency in PostgreSQL for managing structured data efficiently. • Expertise in GraphQL API design and implementation. Other Technical Skills • Experience with containerization using Docker for efficient deployment. • Keen interest in AI development and its application in digital cultural preservation. • A passion for arts and culture—art lovers are highly encouraged to apply!
