Who You Are:
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in software engineering (backend, API, or full-stack)
ā¢ Proficient in Python, Java, or C#
ā¢ Experienced with REST APIs (FastAPI, AWS Lambda) and OpenAPI specifications
ā¢ Skilled in data pipeline orchestration (dbt, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Iceberg)
ā¢ Knowledgeable in federal compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53, HIPAA, FISMA High)
Preferred / Bonus:
ā¢ Prior work with DHA, VA, or federal healthcare IT programs
ā¢ Experience with FHIR, OMOP, HL7, CDA, or other healthcare data standards
ā¢ Familiarity with OCR, NLP, AI/ML workflows for healthcare data
ā¢ Exposure to AWS GovCloud (IL5/IL6) or secure cloud environments
ā¢ Experience in MOSA frameworks or DDIL environments
What You'll Do:
ā¢ Develop secure APIs and cloud-native services for DHA systems
ā¢ Build and maintain data pipelines to normalize structured and unstructured data
ā¢ Integrate healthcare data into FHIR and OMOP standards for analytics and decision support
ā¢ Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to deploy applications in secure, high-compliance cloud environments
ā¢ Ensure software is scalable, compliant, and maintainable while enabling rapid delivery
