As a Software Engineer Sr - Conversational AI Virtual Assistant you will work within PNC's Intelligent Automation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. The Intelligent Automation sits at the intersection of business, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) to enable PNC’s businesses to transform. We solve the bank’s toughest problems while improving customer and employee experiences. As a Center of Excellence (CoE), we work hand in hand with different line of businesses and their technology teams to identify and help deliver high value business opportunities, maintain and enhance AI technologies and capabilities, and bring new AI technologies into the bank.

This position will work within the Virtual Assistance group and will perform some of the following:
• Own virtual assistance (chatbot) strategy
• Develop and support implementation of use cases (customer facing chatbot, knowledge retrieval, helpdesk bot)
• Maintain Kore.AI vendor platform
• Explore innovative generative AI use cases

Job Description
• Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Writes code, tests and deploys software.
• Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Maintains and debugs software.

Technical Troubleshooting – Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.

Technical Writing/Documentation – Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
