Software Engineer - Perception

They are seeking a highly motivated engineer to design and implement systems that support ML development, focusing on developing computer vision algorithms and building scalable ML pipelines.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and productionize state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, pose estimation, activity recognition, and anomaly detection in complex indoor environments like warehouses and retail spacesImplement and optimize computer vision techniques for high-throughput, low-latency applications on edge compute devicesStreamline ML data ingestion, retraining pipelines, and model redeployment workflowsBuild and maintain reliable, scalable pipelines for continuous training and deployment of ML models in production environmentsPartner with Sales, Customer Success, and Field Engineering to architect ML-driven solutions tailored to customer needs and deployment contextsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related fieldSoftware development experience with proficiency in Python, Go-Lang or C++Ability to solve complex and open-ended problemsFamiliarity with version control systems like Git (e.g., branching, merging, pull requests)Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related fieldCoursework or research in computer vision or machine learning1-3 years of experience in software developmentExperience with Docker, Bazel build system and/or AWS cloud services like EKS, S3, ECSExperience designing large, highly available distributed systems with KubernetesExperience working with monocular cameras - pose estimation, tracking and state estimation, object detection, segmentationBenefitsExtensive / Generous health, dental, and vision insurance.Highly competitive paid parental leave and support system.Ownership in the business through an Equity Incentive Plan.Generous paid time off and / or flexible work arrangements.Daily meals in-office, vibrant company events, team-building.401K retirement plan, HSA options, pre-tax Commuter Card.Company OverviewVoxel enhances workplace safety and operational efficiency by transforming existing security cameras into intelligent monitoring systems.
