Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management, seeking early-career Software Engineers to join their Generative AI engineering team. The role involves contributing to the development of AI-powered features, building backend services and APIs, and integrating Large Language Models into customer-facing experiences.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of Generative AI-powered features across Cohesity productsBuild and enhance backend services and APIs that support AI-driven workflowsAssist in integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into customer-facing experiences such as copilots and intelligent searchWork with engineers and product teams to develop AI solutions using enterprise data securelySupport retrieval-based AI systems (RAG) by helping improve indexing, embeddings, and data pipelinesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in a fast-paced Agile environmentDebug and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and AI-enabled servicesParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and team collaboration across global engineering groupsLearn best practices for scalability, performance, and responsible AI developmentSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in AI, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)Strong programming fundamentals in one or more languages such as: Python, Java, Go, or C++Familiarity with software engineering concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented designInterest or academic exposure to Generative AI and Machine Learning, including: Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompting techniques, Embeddings and semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) conceptsUnderstanding of cloud and distributed system basics (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus)Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologiesAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsPassion for building high-quality, scalable, customer-focused productsBenefitsHealth and wellness benefitsVacationPaid holidays and refresh days401(k) retirement planLife and disability insurance coveragesOther benefits the Company may offer from time to timeCompany OverviewCohesity is a data management technology firm that offers hyper-converged secondary storage solutions for backups, files, and analytics.
