Social Media Strategist & Community Manager (B2B) – Help Us Build RFP Pitch + Execute Strategy
We are a digital marketing agency looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist and Community Manager to help us develop a strong RFP pitch and potentially lead execution if we win the contract.
This opportunity has two phases:
-RFP Support: Collaborate with our team to develop a winning social media strategy proposal.
-Execution (if awarded): Implement the strategy and manage day-to-day social media and community engagement.
-We work primarily with B2B brands, so experience in B2B social media marketing is strongly preferred.
Phase 1: RFP Support Responsibilities
-Collaborate with our team to develop a strategic social media plan for the proposal
-Help define platform strategy, content themes, and audience targeting
-Contribute to content strategy, editorial frameworks, and campaign ideas
-Provide input on community management approach
-Assist in outlining KPIs, measurement frameworks, and reporting structure
-Help shape the proposal narrative so it is clear, compelling, and strategic
Phase 2: Execution Responsibilities (If Contract Is Won)
-Implement the approved social media strategy
-Plan and manage the content calendar
-Publish posts across relevant platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, etc.)
-Manage daily community engagement (comments, messages, conversations)
-Monitor social channels and identify engagement opportunities
-Track performance and deliver monthly reports and insights
-Continuously optimize content and engagement strategies
Requirements
-Fluent English (required)
-Proven experience in B2B social media strategy
-Experience managing LinkedIn and other professional platforms
-Strong strategic thinking and storytelling skills
-Experience building social media strategies for proposals or RFPs
-Ability to work collaboratively with agency teams
-Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting
-Experience with scheduling/management tools (Sprout, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
Nice to Have
-Agency experience
-Experience supporting RFPs or marketing pitches
-Background in B2B technology, SaaS, or professional services
-Paid social strategy knowledge
-Experience posting, engaging, and managing communities on Reddit, including familiarity with subreddit rules, moderation culture, and organic engagement strategies
Engagement Details
-Initial engagement: Short-term project (RFP development)
-Potential extension: Ongoing monthly retainer for social media strategy and community management
-Start date: Immediate
