We are presently looking for a Social Media Producer to join its national division. Reporting to the Vice President of Creative and Editorial and the Deputy Director of Social and Brand, the Social Media Producer will help build and maintain a robust social media presence for @CourierNewsroom’s social accounts across all platforms — including video-based platforms (Instagram and TikTok) and text-based platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Threads, LinkedIn, and Bluesky). Responsibilities Support content creation (graphics & video), including brainstorming ideas and helping manage projects from concept to completion Closely monitor current events to identify potential content opportunities that align with COURIER’s editorial priorities Develop brand materials for COURIER national projects, including but not limited to events, new products, and reporting Assist in tracking and reporting on the national team’s social KPIs Help manage COURIER’s online communities and identify opportunities to build deeper relationships with our audience of 5.4M+ Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will have some of the following: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social content curation and creation A strong understanding of the national and gubernatorial political landscape and the ability to quickly and accurately break down the news Graphic design experience (required for this role) Video editing skills are not required but preferred Strong understanding of social media algorithms Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for design Courier Newsroom offers the following benefits : Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 paid holidays a year An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Full suite of health benefits $500 home office reimbursement 401k Flexible working arrangements Courier Newsroom is an equal opportunity employer.
