Social Media Manager / Content Creator (Facebook & Instagram) – Accounting & Bookkeeping Firm
I'm a growing accounting and bookkeeping firm seeking a creative and dependable Social Media Manager / Content Creator to help expand our presence on Facebook and Instagram.
The primary objective of this role is to develop consistent, engaging content that helps small business owners better understand accounting, bookkeeping, and financial organization while building trust in our firm and increasing visibility among potential clients.
My firm works with entrepreneurs and small businesses across many industries, and we serve both English and Spanish-speaking clients. To better reach a broader audience, many posts may be created in both English and Spanish. The Social Media Manager will primarily create content in English, and I will collaborate directly to translate and adapt posts into Spanish, ensuring that the terminology is accurate and appropriate within an accounting and business context. This is important because direct translations from English to Spanish often do not accurately reflect professional accounting terminology.
This position is approximately 5–10 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as the firm grows and social media efforts generate additional clients.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow the firm’s Facebook and Instagram accounts
Create consistent daily content (approximately 1 post or reel per day, occasionally up to 2 pieces of content)
Design visually appealing graphics and short-form video content using tools such as Canva or similar platforms
Write engaging captions that explain accounting, bookkeeping, and financial topics in clear and simple language
Collaborate with the firm owner to adapt posts into Spanish when appropriate
Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting
Identify relevant content ideas that resonate with entrepreneurs and small business owners
Monitor engagement, including comments, messages, and interactions
Track performance metrics and recommend strategies to improve reach and engagement
Stay informed on social media trends, reels formats, and algorithm changes
Ideal Candidate
Experience managing business social media accounts
Strong content creation and graphic design skills
Ability to communicate business or financial concepts in simple, engaging terms
Experience with Facebook and Instagram marketing strategies
Organized, dependable, and able to maintain a consistent posting schedule
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Nice to Have
Experience working with accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial service companies
Experience creating short-form video content such as Instagram Reels
Familiarity with bilingual or multicultural marketing
Knowledge of social media analytics tools
