Social Media and Marketing Coordinator
About the Role We are seeking a creative, organized, and socially fluent Social Media & Reels Coordinator to support the content execution for a therapist, author, and podcast host in the parenting and mental health space. This role is ideal for someone who understands short-form video culture, stays current with Instagram trends, and enjoys helping meaningful ideas turn into engaging Reels. You will help lay out Reel ideas, track trends, give filming direction, edit content, post consistently, and engage with the audience, all while maintaining a warm, grounded, and human brand voice. What You’ll Be Doing • Track Instagram trends and short-form video formats relevant to parenting, mental health, and lifestyle content • Propose Reel ideas regularly (hooks, formats, pacing, captions) • Give light direction for filming (what to record, framing, timing, structure) • Edit short-form video content (Reels, Stories) from provided recordings • Post and schedule content consistently • Write or polish captions in an authentic voice • Engage with the audience through comments and light community interaction • Help organize content ideas so nothing gets lost or overwhelming • Support launches or special moments (book, podcast episodes) with thoughtful content planning What This Role Is Not • Not a paid ads or growth-marketing role • Not responsible for funnels, SEO, or analytics dashboards • Not a high-volume content factory • Not an agency or influencer-outreach position This role is about creative partnership + execution, not hustle or virality at all costs.
