Sitework Estimator, part-time
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sitework Estimator to join our small team on a part-time basis. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates for commercial sitework construction projects & supporting project planning. Candidate MUST have sitework estimating experience, not just general construction estimating. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, site management, and contract negotiations, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects while utilizing your expertise in cost control and project management. Responsibilities • Prepare detailed sitework estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions • Utilize software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid (or any other) to develop accurate cost estimates and proposals • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors • Assist in developing project budgets, schedules • Review construction drawings and specifications to identify potential issues or cost-saving opportunities • Support bid preparation by compiling quantities, labor, equipment, and material costs • Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new estimating techniques relevant to construction site work Qualifications • Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on sitework projects • Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software tools • Strong understanding of construction processes, site management, and contract administration • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable terms with clients and subcontractors • Knowledge of cost control practices and pricing strategies within the construction industry • Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand project scope and challenges • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail This part-time position is ideal for professionals seeking flexible work arrangements while applying their expertise in construction estimating and project management.
