Pay Rate: $38.46 $40.87/hr (~ $80,000 $85,000 annually)
Schedule: Monday Friday, flexible start times (as early as 6:30 AM)
Travel: Not required
Type: W2 Contract (Estimated 2+ years)
Background Check: 7 years
Drug Screen: 10-panel (including marijuana no exceptions)Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled Site Acquisition Specialist to support new wireless telecom site builds and modification projects in the Southern California market. This role requires cradle-to-grave ownership of site acquisition efforts, including candidate selection, leasing, tower owner applications, zoning, and permitting. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume project environment and be familiar with California local markets and AT&T-specific systems.Key Responsibilities:
Manage full lifecycle of 50+ new site builds (NSBs), from search ring to construction handoff
Perform site candidate selection, lease negotiation, zoning, and permitting
Handle high-volume modification projects and associated acquisition tasks
Coordinate and manage tower owner applications and process workflows
Request and process purchase orders, check requests, and related documentation
Read and understand engineering design drawings; order required deliverables
Track, forecast, and report status of all sites internally and to the client
Coordinate with landowners and stakeholders during lease negotiations
Submit finalized lease documents with deal summaries
Navigate and manage client-specific portals, databases, and approval systems
Maintain detailed records via shared tracking systems for internal and client reporting
Attend virtual meetings and provide updates as required
Supervise vendors or self-perform site acquisition tasks
Ensure compliance with jurisdictional zoning codes and permitting requirements
Required Qualifications:
35 years of related experience in wireless telecom site acquisition
Experience managing new site builds (NSBs) in the Southern California market
Familiarity with AT&T SAQ processes, including IWM and LMPS systems
Understanding of tower loading, lease reviews, and design drawings
Able to manage high volumes of sites in a fast-paced project environment
Strong working knowledge of SoCal municipalities and local zoning timelines
Comfortable with both vendor management and self-performance
U.S. Citizen or authorized to work for any U.S. employer without visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience:
AT&T new site build projects (WABA, MNP, or similar)
Right-of-way, small cell, or wireless telecom project experience
Experience with telecom leasing and permitting across California jurisdictions
