Shopify Expert Needed: Walk Me Through Creating Admin API Keys in New Shopify Dev Dashboard
I’m looking for a Shopify developer who is familiar with the current Shopify developer dashboard and custom app workflow. Shopify has moved away from the legacy private app process, and I need someone to walk me through generating Admin API credentials using the new system.
This is a live screen-share session (30–60 minutes) where you will guide me step-by-step so I understand the process and can repeat it in the future.
Scope of Work
During the session, you will help me:
Navigate the current Shopify Admin / Developer Dashboard
Create a Custom App using the new workflow
Configure the correct Admin API scopes
Generate and retrieve:
Admin API access token
API key
API secret (if applicable)
Explain how the authentication flow works in the new Shopify structure
Verify the API works with a simple test request
Requirements
Strong experience with Shopify Admin API
Familiar with Shopify’s updated custom app system (post-legacy apps)
Able to explain clearly while screen sharing
Available for a quick live session
Deliverable
I successfully obtain working Admin API credentials
I understand how to repeat the process in the future
