Integrity, Inspiration, Quality and Teamwork!Job Description:The Service Asset Manager is responsible for driving lifecycle planning, modernization strategy, and long-term value growth of the companyâs installed base of intralogistics automation systems. This role serves as the central owner of asset data, lifecycle intelligence, and modernization planning, working cross-functionally with Service Directors, Service Operations, and Sales to ensure customersâ systems remain reliable, up-to-date, and aligned with evolving operational needs.The position plays a critical role in transforming installed base data into actionable service strategies, enabling proactive lifecycle management, modernization opportunities, and sustainable service revenue growth.Primary Objectives:Drive effective lifecycle planning for customer assets across the installed baseEnable installed base growth through modernization, upgrades, and replacement strategiesEnsure accurate, comprehensive visibility of assets and lifecycle status across the service organizationKey Responsibilities:Asset & Lifecycle ManagementMaintain and govern the asset registry and lifecycle database for all customer systems and equipmentEnsure asset data accuracy, completeness, and ongoing updates across the installed baseDefine and manage asset lifecycle stages, including commissioning, maturity, obsolescence, and end-of-lifeLifecycle Planning & Modernization StrategyDevelop multi-year lifecycle, modernization, and replacement plans for customer systemsIdentify aging, obsolete, or high-risk assets and propose mitigation or upgrade strategiesPartner with technical and service teams to define standard modernization and upgrade offeringsInstalled Base GrowthSupport the growth of service and modernization revenue by identifying opportunities within the installed baseCollaborate with Sales and Service Directors to align lifecycle plans with commercial strategiesProvide lifecycle insights and asset intelligence to support customer proposals and business casesCross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with Service Directors to align asset strategies with regional and customer-specific service plansCoordinate with the Service Operations Manager to ensure lifecycle strategies are operationally feasiblePartner with Sales to support customer engagement, forecasting, and pipeline development related to modernization and replacementReporting & AnalyticsDevelop dashboards and reports related to asset health, lifecycle status, and modernization pipelineTrack KPIs related to installed base coverage, lifecycle risk, and upgrade penetrationProvide regular updates and recommendations to the Senior Service ManagerCompensation range: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 Annually The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.Qualifications:Required QualificationsBachelorâs degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of experience in asset management, lifecycle management, obsolescence management and installed base management service management, within industrial automation, intralogistics, or related industriesStrong understanding of long-life industrial systems and service-based business modelsExperience working with asset databases, CMMS, ERP, or service management toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience in intralogistics automation (AS/RS, conveyors, sortation, AGVs/AMRs, warehouse control systems)Familiarity with modernization and retrofit strategies for industrial automation systemsExperience supporting service sales or installed base development initiativesKnowledge of lifecycle cost analysis and asset risk assessmentKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and data management skillsAbility to translate technical asset data into actionable business strategiesExcellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsCustomer-focused mindset with a proactive, long-term view of asset performanceComfortable working independently in a remote environmentAdditional Information:BEUMER is an innovative company, where every employee is part of the "family".
