We are looking to hire an experienced SEO specialist to perform a comprehensive audit of our statewide lead generation website. Following recent Google algorithm updates, we’ve seen a significant drop in keyword rankings and organic traffic across multiple service areas within the state. The ideal candidate will have expertise in local and regional SEO, particularly with websites that target multiple cities or regions within a state. Your role will be to identify the causes of ranking declines and propose a detailed recovery and optimization strategy. Scope of Work: Perform a full SEO audit (technical SEO, content, backlinks, on-page optimization, site architecture, and mobile performance) Identify and analyze the impact of recent Google algorithm updates Diagnose loss of rankings across statewide/local keywords Deliver a clear, prioritized action plan to recover rankings and improve visibility Provide guidance on content strategy, internal linking, and local SEO best practices Requirements: Demonstrated success with SEO recovery projects, especially for statewide or multi-location sites Proficiency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights Clear communication and reporting skills Please include case studies or examples of similar projects, and a brief outline of how you typically approach SEO audits and recovery.
