Senior WordPress Developer for a Growing Agency ( freelance, no agencies )
We're a mid-market fully remote Website Development & SEO agency in the USA, and we're looking to add a second WordPress developer to our small but mighty dev.
We'd like to bring another senior developer onto the team--one with heavy experience building fully custom WordPress sites.
The successful candidate must have sold JavaScript and PHP skills as well as a thorough knowledge of WordPress functions and variables, as well as ACF Pro.
Ability to work with Tailwind is also a requirement since some of our client utilize it heavily.
Front end skills are more critical than backend, but you don't need to be a designer. For larger design projects we have a UX team that will submit Figma mockups.
The work will most likely be sporadic at first, but is expected to grow steadily.
You can be located anywhere in the world, and the working hours are up to you, but you need to have signficant overlap ( at least 4 hours per day ) with USA EST time where you're easily available on slack or for meetings.
We focus on building:
- High quality, custom themed WordPress websites
- On-going Web support,
- Rebuilding, redesigning, and optimizing existing sites
- Extending functionality
- More!
Our websites are custom built with minimal plugins. Most of the work is done with custom coding + ACF Pro plugin. Design mockups are in Figma.
We work with a variety of clients including national SAAS companies, B2B service businesses.
Target starting hourly rate of $50 hour.
Must have advanced expertise with all of the following:
- WordPress
- HTML
- CSS and SASS/SCSS
- Bootstrap front-end toolkit
- PHP
- JS/jQuery
- Git (basic knowledge, pull/commit/push/branch, meaningful messages)
Proficient with plugins:
- Advanced Custom Fields
- Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms
Other skills required:
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Adherence to deadlines
- Fluent or nearly fluent in written and spoken English
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to also do the boring tasks when needed, like updating plugins
- Willingness to learn and improve
